The Appartements Pungg has a long and eventful history that dates back to 1958. At that time, Theresia Pungg had the Pungg Guesthouse built, which offered single and double rooms equipped with sinks—something quite rare at the time. Until the 1970s, the house attracted only guests from German-speaking areas for summer vacations, but with the opening of the Spieljochbahn in the same decade, the guesthouse also became a popular destination for winter tourists.
Theresia Pungg dedicated her life to tourism and turned what was then called the Pungg guesthouse into a welcoming and charming place for travellers from around the world. In the 2000s, her son and his wife took over the operation and transformed the rooms into apartments to meet the changing needs of the guests. Thus, Appartements Pungg was established.
In 2023, Theresia’s granddaughter Melanie took over the Appartements Pungg and brought a breath of fresh air to the traditional establishment. Melanie places great emphasis on sustainability and strives to create an environment where guests feel completely at ease during their stay. With her dedication and passion for hospitality, Melanie continues her grandmother’s legacy and ensures that the Appartements Pungg remains a popular destination for those seeking relaxation and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds in the future.
